Description of Service

GiftList is a web application that helps users organize and remember gift ideas for friends and family. The Service allows you to:

• Create and manage lists of people
• Add and organize gift ideas for each person
• Track birthdays and anniversaries
• Receive reminders for upcoming occasions
• Access your lists from any device

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use GiftList. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

Account Registration

Creating an Account

To use GiftList, you must create an account by signing in with Google or using an email magic link.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activities that occur under your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage from your failure to maintain account security.

Acceptable Use

You May:

• Use GiftList for personal, non-commercial purposes
• Create gift lists for yourself and others
• Share gift ideas (when sharing features are available)

You May Not:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Use automated systems (bots) to access the Service
• Reverse engineer or extract source code

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account.

User Content

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in GiftList, including gift ideas, people you add to your lists, and notes.

License to Us

By using GiftList, you grant us a limited license to store your content on our servers, display it back to you, and process it to provide Service features. This license ends when you delete your content or account.

Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you create and share. We are not responsible for the accuracy or quality of user-generated content.

Prohibited Content

You may not create or share content that is illegal, harmful, offensive, or infringes on intellectual property rights.

Intellectual Property

GiftList and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, and trade secret laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service.

Third-Party Links

GiftList may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as product URLs you add to gift ideas). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk.

Service Availability

"As Is" Service

GiftList is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

No Guarantees

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance or modify features at any time.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (currently £0 for free users).

Data and Privacy

Your use of GiftList is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Account Termination

Your Right to Terminate

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@gift-list.app. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

Our Right to Terminate

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if your account is inactive for an extended period.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and posting a notice within the app for significant changes.

Continued use of GiftList after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
